Green Knights Aim For NCAA Playoffs Berth Saturday at Lake Forest

DE PERE - The scenario for St. Norbert College at Lake Forest College Saturday is simple - win and clinch a berth in the NCAA Division III Playoffs as well as the outright Midwest Conference championship. The Green Knights clinched a share of the league title last week after beating Grinnell while Illinois College lost to Cornell. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Farwell Field.

St. Norbert holds a 27-2 lead in the all-time series, which began in 1984. St. Norbert had won 15 straight games in the series before the Foresters shocked St. Norbert 17-0 in the 2002 season finale at Minahan Stadium, and the Green Knights have won 10 straight since. The Foresters' only other win in the series came in 1986.
