St. Norbert Falls to St. Scholastica on Late Goal

DE PERE - St. Norbert College suffered its first loss of the season on a goal with just over six minutes remaining as the Green Knights fell 3-2 to the College of St. Scholastica in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
Nina Waidacher's power-play goal at the 13:47 mark of the third period proved to be the difference. The Green Knights had pulled even at 5:59 of the third period on a power-play goal by Rachel Koppang.
St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead when Lauren Roethlisberger scored at 10:12 of the first period.
The Saints countered with two goals in the second period by Waidacher at 10:53 and Briana Stephens at 14:47.
St. Norbert outshot St. Scholastica, including 38-26, but couldn't find the equalizer. Both teams were 1-for-3 on the power play. Kaley Gibson made 23 saves for the Green Knights, while Lindsey Hartfiel made 36 stops for the Saints.
