St. Norbert Splits at Cardinal Stritch Tournament

MILWAUKEE - The St. Norbert College women's soccer team split a pair of matches at the Cardinal Stritch Tournament on Labor Day Weekend at Uihlein Soccer Park.
The Green Knights fell to McKendree (Ill.) University 2-0 on Saturday before rebounding to beat Mount Mercy (Iowa) College 2-0 on Sunday. St. Norbert is now 1-2 on the season.
Against Mount Mercy, St. Norbert picked up second-half goals from Ashley Haws and Jessica Schadrie to net the win. Haws scored at 57:35 off an assist from Rachelle Barina, while Schadrie's marker at 59:15 was unassisted.
St. Norbert, which outshot Mount Mercy 22-5, got four saves from Mallory Ford in the match. The Green Knights also held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Green Knights gave up a pair of second-half goals to Sarah Ryan in the loss to McKendree. McKendree held a 19-5 shots advantage. Ford made eight saves for the Green Knights.
