Unbeaten Streak Ends at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College had its 11-game unbeaten streak come to an end with a 4-1 loss to Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.

The Green Knights (15-6-2, 10-5-1 NCHA) dropped three points behind first place College of St. Scholastica and one point back of Lake Forest (12-4-3, 10-3-2) for second in the NCHA standings with two games remaining.

Lake Forest got the early jump, taking a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Morgan Pope at 2:50 and Michelle Greeneway at 11:57. The Foresters increased their lead to 3-0 after two periods when Greeneway scored again on a power-play goal at 11:13 of the second period.

St. Norbert got its only goal at 4:28 of the third period when Emily Chandler scored with Jillian Kosteck and Tarraneh Dadgar assisting. The Foresters salted the game away when Greeneway recorded a hat trick with a goal at 11:50.

Lake Forest outshot St. Norbert 40-23. Carissa Finck made 22 saves for the Foresters, while Kaley Gibson made 36 stops for the Green Knights. St. Norbert was 0-for-1 on the power play, while Lake Forest was 1-for-2.
