Five Green Knights Selected First-Team All-NCHA

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had five players earn first-team All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association honors to lead league post-season honorees.

Junior goaltender David Jacobson, junior defenseman Marian Fiala, freshman defenseman Blake Thompson, senior forward Joe Perry and junior forward Mason Baptista were selected. Thompson was selected to the NCHA All-Freshmen team.

Jacobson was named NCHA Player of the Year. Jacobson enters the NCHA Harris Cup semifinals with a 19-1-1 record, 1.28 goals against average and .935 save percentage. He also owns six shutouts this season. Jacobson's honor marks the ninth time a St. Norbert player has been named NCHA Player of the Year, and is the first since Johan Ryd earned the nod in 2012.

Thompson was named NCHA Freshman of the Year. In 25 games, Thompson has three goals and 17 assists for 20 points.

Baptista currently leads the Green Knights in scoring with 33 points, netting nine goals and a league-high 24 assists for 33 points. Perry shares the St. Norbert lead in goals with 17 to go with 11 assists for 28 points in 27 games. Fiala has five goals and 16 assists for 21 points in 27 games.

Lake Forest coach Ryan McKelvie was named NCHA Coach of the Year.
