St. Norbert Second After First Day of MWC Indoor Meet

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College is in second place in the team standings after the first day of the Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at Cornell College.

St. Norbert totaled 54 points through seven events. Monmouth College leads the team standings with 77 points.

The 1,600-meter sprint medley of Taylor Pasterski, Akeem Edmonds, Jake Schneider and Austin Livingstone finished second with a time of 3:37.26. The 4x200-meter relay of Pasterski, Jack Feuerstein, Edmonds and Ryan Grandlic was third in 1:33.19.

Randy Hill placed third in the high jump at 6 feet 4 inches. Dan Sisler was sixth with a height clearance of 6-2. Brad Boockmeier was third in the shot put in 48-5 1/2, while Evan Broyles was sixth in 45-11 3/4. Sisler was fourth in the long jump at 22-0 1/4, and Hill was sixth in 21-5 1/2.

In the 1-mile run, Nathan Heppe was fourth in 4:31.91, Benny Swift fifth in 4:33.75 and Daniel Reigh was sixth in 4:35.49.

Mike Linzmeier was seventh in the 5,000-meter run in 16:12.35.
