St. Norbert Falls to No. 3 Southern Maine

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - St. Norbert College faced a nationally ranked team for the second day in a row and fell to third-ranked University of Southern Maine 7-1 at Chain O'Lakes Park. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out.

Southern Maine (5-1) slowly built a 7-0 lead by scoring one run in the first, three runs in the third, two runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth inning.

St. Norbert (0-3) left the bases loaded in the first inning and stranded two more runners in the second inning. The Green Knights scored their lone run when Adam Enwiya singled in Nick Pierre.

Enwiya and Jose Godinez both went 2-for-3 for the Green Knights, who had six hits.

Kevin Nutley took the loss, allowing nine hits and six earned runs with one walk and one strikeout in six innings.
