St. Norbert Reaches 20-Win Plateau

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College's women's tennis team continued its historic season by reaching the 20-win mark for the first time with a pair of dual wins at Western Racquet and Fitness. The Green Knights topped St. Mary's University 7-2 and then blanked UW-River Falls 9-0.

The Green Knights (20-3) picked up two doubles points against St. Mary's. Nancy Chybowski and Elizabeth Manlick defeated Grace Zachman and Leanne Cleveland 8-1 at No. 1. Lizzy Tews and Emily Rasmussen topped Haley Jorgensen and Stacey Buss 8-5 at No. 3.

Chybowski outlasted Zachman 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 1 singles. Manlick beat Lindsey Reinisch 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2, while Katherine Ake upended Megan Vandenberg 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3. Ariel Bloniarz claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win over Cleveland at No. 4, while Anna Gosz topped Buss 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6.

Against River Falls, Chybowski and Manlick defeated Kelsey Hochberger and Anna Ebensperger 8-2 at No. 1. Ashley Randazzo and Ake tipped Kelley Mendel and Hannah Klimek 8-2 at No. 2, while Rasmussen and Tews won by an 8-5 score over Brittany Mohn and Kayla Rosenow at No. 3.

Chybowski beat Hochberger 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, followed by Manlick's 6-3, 6-0 win over Mendel at No. 2. Ake blanked Makayla Newberry 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3, and Bloniarz topped Klimek 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. Brittany Dudzik claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win over Ebensperger at No. 5, and Gosz finished with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Rosenow at No. 6.
