Green Knights Win Carroll Invitational

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College totaled seven first-place finishes to help the Green Knights to the team title of the Carroll University Invitational.

The Green Knights registered a whopping 200 points, which easily outdistanced second-place Milwaukee School of Engineering's 131 points. Concordia University Wisconsin finished third with 82 points.

Randy Hill picked up two event titles with wins in the long jump and triple jump. Hill finished with a long jump distance of 20 feet 10 1/2 inches, and ended with a triple jump length of an even 44 feet.

Evan Broyles won the discus with a heave of 138-7, and also finished third in the shot put with a distance of 43-3 3/4.

Benny Swift, Jake Schneider and Tommy Zakowski took the top three places in the 800-meter run. Swift won with a time of 1:57.09, followed by Schneider in 2:02.51 and Zakowski in 2:03.63.

Taylor Pasterski won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.91 seconds, while Austin Livingston was third in 49.65 seconds. Pasterski added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.34 seconds.

Jack Feuerstein won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.50 seconds, while Andrew Hull finished second in 58.85 seconds. Feuerstein placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.91 seconds.

The 4x100-meter relay of Kevin Schlichter, Pasterski, Tyler Lewis and Brad Boockmeier won with a time of 43.64 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay of Lewis, Hull, Livingston and Schneider was second with a time of 3:27.18.

Dan Sisler finished second in the long jump at 20-9. Patrick Sweetman was second in the javelin throw with a distance of 142-1, while Joe McArdle was third in the hammer throw at 141-9.

Mike Linzmeier finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:10.20.
