Green Knights Take Fifth at UW-Whitewater Invite

WHITEWATER - The St. Norbert College men's cross country team placed fifth at the UW-Whitewater Invitational.

The Green Knights totaled 132 points. UW-Eau Claire won the team championship with 30 points. UW-Platteville was the runner-up with 54 points, UW-Whitewater was third with 76 points and UW-Parkside was fourth with 122 points.

Alex DeVillers paced the Green Knights with an 11th-place run in 29 minutes 6 seconds. Jon O'Brien was in a virtual tie with DeVillers, placing 12th in the same time.

Mackenzie Laska was 28th with a time of 29:32, John Barrett 47th in 30:05 and Gavin Strawn was 73rd in 31:06. Matt Leser followed three seconds behind in 31:09 for 74th.

The race was an 8 kilometer run.
