HOWARDS GROVE - St. Norbert College kept its unbeaten and untied start to the 2014 season intact with a 1-0 win over Lakeland College in a non-conference match at Lakeland Soccer Field.

The Green Knights' 6-0 start is only surpassed in school annals by the 2004 team, which started 7-0 en route to a 17-1-2 season and a NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16 appearance, and the 1987 team, which started 9-0.

Following a scoreless first half, the Green Knights got on the board in the 60th minute. Marco Delbecchi's shot was saved by Lakeland goalkeeper Austin Ganzke, whose save went directly to Nathan Angell. Angell finished for the game's lone goal at 59:29. It was Angell's third marker of the season.

St. Norbert outshot Lakeland 12-9. Scott Faul made two saves in goal for the Green Knights, while Ganzke made six stops for the Muskies (2-3-1).
