Green Knights Crack NSCAA Top 25; Faul Nets MWC Honor

DE PERE - St. Norbert College returned to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 for the first time in five seasons when it checked in at No. 24 in the Division III rating released today.

The Green Knights, 7-0 and off to their best start since 2004, won two matches last week to remain one of seven Division III teams nationally without a loss or tie so far this season. St. Norbert was last ranked in the NSCAA Division III Top 25 on Sept. 15, 2009, when it was ranked No. 21.

Also, St. Norbert senior goalkeeper Scott Faul was named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Faul made two saves in St. Norbert's 1-0 win at Lakeland last Wednesday. Faul then had two more stops in 75 minutes in Saturday's 2-0 win over Beloit. Faul is 7-0 this season with an .833 save percentage and 0.94 goals against average.
