Jung's Goals Lead St. Norbert Past Wisconsin Lutheran

MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College got a pair of second-half goals from Shannon Jung to lift the Green Knights to a 2-0 non-conference win over Wisconsin Lutheran College at Warrior Soccer Field.

The Green Knights (3-4) outshot the Warriors (3-6-2) by a 9-2 margin in the first half but the score was a 0-0 deadlock after the first 45 minutes.

Jung broke the ice with a goal at the 49 minutes 57 seconds mark, off an assist by Aimee Conley. Jung then gave the Green Knights some breathing room with a goal at 62:23 with Kaitlin Malliet assisting. Jung's two goals give her four on the season.

St. Norbert outshot Wisconsin Lutheran 20-9 and also held an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks. Sarah Platzer made six saves in working the first 86 minutes, while Maddie Plinska finished up in the combined shutout. Rachel Sebald made seven saves for the Warriors.
