DE PERE - Senior linebacker Zach Klarkowski was named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in Saturday's 32-27 win over Illinois College at Schneider Stadium.

Klarkowski, a native of Green Bay and a Denmark High School graduate, finished with 16 tackles (12 solo), two tackles-for-loss and one quarterback sack as St. Norbert rallied from a 27-6 deficit entering the fourth quarter.

The Green Knights held the Blueboys to four three-and-out possessions in the fourth quarter and to 314 yards of total offense, 369 yards under their season average. Illinois College averaged 3.6 yards per play and was 8-for-22 on third-down conversions.

St. Norbert, 2-1 overall, travels to Cornell College for a 1 p.m. kickoff Saturday at Ash Park in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
