St. Norbert Tops Monmouth in MWC Opener

DE PERE - St. Norbert College began Midwest Conference play with a three-set win over Monmouth College at Schuldes Sports Center. The Green Knights topped the Fighting Scots 25-15, 25-14, 25-15.

St. Norbert (7-13, 1-0 MWC) hit .296 in the match, with 41 kills against 12 errors in 98 attempts. Breanne Brocker led the way with 14 kills against five errors in 32 attempts, and also added nine digs. Heidi Spies had 10 kills with two errors in 26 attempts. Hannah Johnshoy chipped in with nine kills with three errors in 18 attempts.

Kaitlin Delahaut had 37 assists to set up the St. Norbert hitters. Aubree Antosch led the defense with 15 digs, while Delahaut added 11 digs.

Monmouth hit .057 for the match, with 21 kills and 16 assists in 88 attempts. Mackenzie Gillund led the Scots with eight kills. Alanna Trettin had 10 digs.
