MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College junior Shannon Jung scored both of her team's goals as the Green Knights picked up a much-needed road win in the Midwest Conference race with a 2-1 triumph over Cornell College at Cornell Soccer Field.

Following a scoreless first half, St. Norbert (5-8, 3-2 MWC) took a 1-0 lead when Jung scored an unassisted goal at 52:33. Cornell (7-6-1, 3-4) answered right back when Bethany Stivers scored her 14th goals of the season at 58:33.

The Green Knights broke the deadlock at 80:54 when Jung took a feed from her sister, Sadie, for the game-winning goal. It was Jung's seventh goal of the season.

Cornell outshot St. Norbert 15-8, but the Green Knights held a 6-5 edge in the second half. Sarah Platzer made nine saves to keep the Green Knights in contention, while Kassi Todryk made three stops for the Rams.
