MADISON - St. Norbert College claimed three of the six available singles flight championships available at the Midwest Conference Singles Championship at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

The Green Knights, who had two doubles tandems win MWC titles, earned singles titles at the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 flights. Nancy Chybowski won the No. 4 flight singles title, Anna Gosz won the title at No. 5, and Ashley Randazzo earned the conference title at No. 6. Gosz and Randazzo also teamed together to win the No. 3 doubles title on Saturday.

Chybowski started her flight with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the quarterfinals over Carroll University's Kaylee Rossing. She then topped Lake Forest College's Gracie Mullins 6-2, 6-0 in the semifinals. Chybowski needed to rally from a opening-set loss in the championship match, but defeated Grinnell College's Anushka Joshi 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.

Gosz won a tough quarterfinal match over Carroll's Tiff Maggioncalda 7-5, 6-3, and then dispatched Lawrence University's Tess Vogel 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinals. Gosz topped Cornell College's Gabriella Ferro 7-5, 6-3 for the championship.

Randazzo blanked Knox College's Kaly Davidson 6-0, 6-0 in the quarterfinals, and then defeated Grinnell's Minna Montgomery 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals. Randazzo ground out a three-set win over Lawrence's Melissa Heeren by a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 score in the championship.

The players in St. Norbert's top three flights were all eliminated in the semifinals. Elizabeth Manlick lost to Grinnell's Shirlene Luk 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1. Katherine Ake fell to Carroll's Julia Patzin 5-7, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Erika Chitko lost 6-3, 6-1 to Cornell's Julia Thome at No. 3.
