St. Norbert Drops Double-Overtime Heartbreaker at Knox

GALESBURG, Ill. - Knox College clinched its first Midwest Conference men's soccer title since 1988 when it netted a 1-0 double-overtime win over St. Norbert College at Jorge Prats Field.

Knox's Shu Kitamura tallied his first goal of the season with a marker just 39 seconds into the second overtime (100:39). Abdulsalam Oganla assisted.

Knox (13-2, 8-0) outshot St. Norbert (9-4-3, 3-2-3 MWC) by a 12-8 margin, including 5-1 in the two overtime sessions. Corner kicks were even at 7-7.

Scott Faul made five saves for St. Norbert, while Sean Dockrell made three saves for the Prairie Fire.
