Win Gives Green Knights Second-Place MWC Finish

DE PERE - St. Norbert College secured a second-place finish in the Midwest Conference with a four-set win over Carroll University at Schuldes Sports Center. The Green Knights topped the Pioneers 25-21, 25-13, 18-25, 25-23.

The Green Knights (15-13, 9-1 MWC) will enter next weekend's MWC Tournament at Cornell College as the No. 2 seeding. Their semifinal match in the tournament will be 4:30 p.m. Friday in a rematch with Carroll (11-17, 7-3), the No. 3 seeding. Cornell will face Lake Forest College in the other semifinal.

St. Norbert hit .296 in the match, and got 18 kills from Heidi Spies, who only had three errors in 42 attempts. Hannah Johnshoy added 15 kills against six errors in 31 attempts. Anika Johnson totaled 11 kills in 20 attempts with no errors.

Kaitlin Delahaut had assists on 52 of the Green Knights' 60 kills and also had 12 digs. Breanne Brocker had 18 digs and nine kills, while Aubree Antosch added 11 digs.

Carroll hit .200, and got 17 kills from Caitlin Dolan. Taylor Kuehl had 42 assists, while Jenna Shea had 16 digs.
