St. Norbert Falls at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College couldn't recover from a decisive second period and lost 5-1 to Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.

The Foresters (1-2, 1-2) and Green Knights (2-1, 0-1) skated to a scoreless first period, but the host took control in the middle stanza. Morgan Pope and Laura Reckdenwald scored at 10:42 and 17:10, respectively, to give Lake Forest a 2-0 lead.

The Foresters doubled their lead early in the third period when Amanda Brunges and Emily Wybo scored at 4:55 and 7:27, respectively. St. Norbert cut into the deficit when Ali Parker registered an unassisted power-play goal at 8:57, but Lake Forest salted the game away with a goal by Pope at 10:03.

Lake Forest outshot St. Norbert 28-25. The Green Knights were 1-for-5 on the power play, while Lake Forest was 0-for-2.

Allie Carter made 24 saves for Lake Forest, while Brianna Kelly made 23 stops for the Green Knights.
