St. Norbert Falls in MWC Title Match to Cornell

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - St. Norbert College battled Midwest Conference champion Cornell College to four sets but ended up dropping the MWC Tournament championship match to the Rams at Small Multi-Sport Center.

Cornell (24-6) earned the win by scores of 26-24, 25-18, 23-25, 25-16 to earn the MWC's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. St. Norbert saw its season end 16-14.

St. Norbert hit .180 for the match, totaling 45 kills with 18 errors in 150 attempts. Hannah Johnshoy hit .565 with 15 kills and two errors in 23 attempts. Breanne Brocker finished with 11 kills, while Heidi Spies ended with eight kills.

The Green Knights had 62 digs, with Aubree Antosch posting a team-high 15 digs. Stephanie Reed added 14 digs, while Kaitlin Delahaut ended with 12 digs. Delahaut had 36 assists.

Cornell hit .323 with 74 kills and 20 errors in 167 attempts. Diamond Boyd had 23 kills, while Kylea Weber had 29 digs.
