RIPON - The St. Norbert College women's tennis team remained in contention for a Midwest Conference Tournament berth with a 7-2 win over Ripon College at Larson Courts.

The Green Knights swept the three doubles matches and then picked up four singles wins en route to the win. St. Norbert is 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the MWC North. Ripon is 4-4, 1-2.

St. Norbert's No. 1 doubles tandem of Kelly Van Handel and Lauren Post blanked Josie Ullsperger and Chelsey Foster 8-0. Allyson Yankle and Callie Schroeder beat Meagan Sykes and Megan Petri 8-3 and No. 2 doubles, while Stephanie Marek and Lauren Lathers topped Megan Sockness and Brooke Deans 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.

Van Handel handled Josie Ullsperger at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-2, followed by Post beating Foster 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Schroeder defeated Erin Gebhardt 6-2, 6-0 and No. 4 singles, while Anna Reardon defeated Kate Dricken 3-6, 6-2, 11-9 at No. 6 singles.
