DULUTH, Minn. - St. Norbert College scored the game's first goal but wouldn't find the back of the net again and suffered a 3-1 loss to the College of St. Scholastica in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Mars Lakeview Arena.

St. Norbert (3-3, 1-3 NCHA) took the early lead when Kylie Gazzolo scored her second goal of the season on a power-play marker at 14:58 of the first period. Megan Crandell and Lauren Roethlisberger assisted.

St. Scholastica (5-1, 5-1) tied the score at 1-1 when Abby Sawyer finished at 4:46 of the second period. The Saints pulled ahead on Nina Waidacher's goal at 6:36 of the third period. Sierra Hanowski's empty-net goal with 35 seconds remaining settled the issue.

The Saints outshot the Green Knights 29-26. Brianna Kelly made 26 saves for St. Norbert, while Kristen Hunt made 25 stops for St. Scholastica. St. Norbert was 1-for-4 on the power play and St. Scholastica was 0-for-2.
