St. Norbert Nets 15 All-Conference Honors

DE PERE - A total of 15 St. Norbert College football players were selected to the 2014 Midwest Conference North Division All-Conference Team.

Senior defensive lineman Austin Prusha, senior linebacker Zach Klarkowski, senior defensive back Joe Lorenz, senior kicker Randy Hill, senior punter Kevin Krueger and junior offensive lineman Jacob Bunk and Evan Broyles were first-team selections.

Junior defensive lineman Jacob Finegan, senior linebacker Matt Petersilka, senior defensive back Dan Egan, freshman return specialist Elijah Fort, freshman special teams Ben Kornowski, junior offensive lineman Jack Rasmussen, sophomore wide receiver Zach Reeves and senior tight end Patrick Burke were second-team honorees.

Prusha, a Waunakee native, finished the year with 53 tackles. He led the Green Knights with 13 tackles-for-loss and 5 1/2 quarterback sacks. Prusha also had four passes defensed.

Klarkowski, a Green Bay native, led St. Norbert in tackles with 93. His 10 1/2 tackles for loss were second on the team. Klarkowski also totaled four quarterback sacks, one pass defensed and one fumble receovery.

Lorenz, an Elk Mound native, led the Green Knights with 11 passes defensed. He had 59 tackles, 2 1/2 tackles for loss, one interception and one forced fumble.

Hill, a Green Bay native, led the Midwest Conference in kickoff average at 61.8 yards per kick and 20 touchbacks. He converted 10 of 13 field-goal attempts, with a long of 44 yards, and was 21-for-28 on point-after attempts.

Krueger, a Seminole, Fla., native, paced the Midwest Conference in gross punting average at 40.6 yards per punt. Seventeen of his 50 punts were inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and 14 were fair caught.

Bunk, a St. Francis native, and Broyles, a Sun Prairie native, helped the Green Knights rush for an average of 138.1 yards per game.

Finegan, an Ishpeming, Mich., native, ended the season with 28 tackles. A total of 7 1/2 of his stops were for a loss. He also had two quarterback sacks and one forced fumble.

Petersilka, a Sturgeon Bay native, was second on the team with 85 tackles. He had 4 1/2 tackles for loss, two passes defensed, one quarterback sack and one fumble recovery.

Egan, a Skokie, Ill., native, finished with 41 tackles. He had three passes defensed, one interception, and also blocked two kicks.

Fort, a Waukesha native, led St. Norbert in all-purpose yardage at 87.6 yards per game. Fort averaged 24.0 yards per kickoff return and his lone punt return this season went for a 72-yard touchdown in the season-opening win over Carthage.

Kornowski, a Green Bay native, finished with 14 tackles, one pass defensed and one tackle-for-loss.

Rasmussen, a Galena, Ill., native, assisted in the offensive line leading the way to 17 rushing touchdowns this season.

Reeves, a Laona native, led the Green Knights in receiving with 36 receptions for 482 yards and three touchdowns.

Burke, an Elmhurst, Ill., native, was fourth on the team in receptions with 15 and had 189 yards receiving with one touchdown.

St. Norbert finished 6-4 overall this season, its 16th consecutive winning season.
