DE PERE - St. Norbert College suffered no ill effects from a 10-day layoff and romped to a 7-0 win over Buffalo State in a non-conference game at Cornerstone Community Center.

The Green Knights (7-0-1), ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, pushed their unbeaten streak to 19 games (18-0-1) dating back to last season. Buffalo State, which will face St. Norbert again at 4 p.m. Saturday, fell to 1-4-2.

St. Norbert wasted little time taking the lead when Cullen Bradshaw banged home a rebound just 1 minute 43 seconds into the game. The Green Knights held that lead until late in the first period when Michael Hill finished from the slot with 12 seconds remaining for a 2-0 edge.

The Green Knights pulled away in the second period. Noah Nelson finished at 6:28 for a 3-0 lead. Bradshaw then scored for the second time when he took a pass from goaltender Tony Kujava to convert a power-play goal at 7:35. St. Norbert cashed in on another power-play opportunity at 18:29 when Mason Baptista found the back of the net.

St. Norbert scored twice in the third period: Baptista at 12:07 and Sean Campbell with a power-play marker at 17:26.

Baptista added two assists for a four-point game, while Sam Higgins had three assists. Bradshaw had one assist for a three-point game, while Campbell and Hill had helpers for two-point games.

St. Norbert outshot Buffalo State 38-12. Kujava made all 12 saves to post his second shutout of the season. Ian Sylves made 31 saves for the Bengals.

St. Norbert was 3-for-5 on the power play, while Buffalo State was 0-for-4.
