DE PERE - St. Norbert College picked up its first weekend sweep in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association action this season when it topped Concordia University Wisconsin 4-1 at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights head into the semester break at 6-4-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the NCHA. Concordia falls to 5-4-1, 3-4.

St. Norbert took an early lead thanks to a power-play goal by Lauren Roethlisberger 1 minute 5 seconds into the game. The Green Knights had an advantage after Concordia was whistled for a rare protocol violation to start the game.

The Falcons evened the score at 1-1 when Veronika Metanova converted a power-play opportunity at 10:27 of the first period. St. Norbert would answer with three goals in the last 7:55 of the first period for an insurmountable 4-1 lead.

Kylie Gazzolo registered her fifth marker of the year at 12:05, while Megan Crandell followed at 14:53. Lexi Pyykkonen tallied her first collegiate goal with a marker at 17:28.

Kenna Farrey and Selena Stromer both had two assists for the Green Knights.

St. Norbert outshot Concordia 43-16. The Green Knights were 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Falcons were 1-for-3. Brianna Kelly made 15 saves for St. Norbert, while Bridget Slater had 39 for Concordia.
