Two Late Goals Lift St. Norbert Past Concordia-Wisconsin

MEQUON - St. Norbert College got two goals inside the final three minutes of play to earn a 4-2 win over Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Ozaukee Ice Center.

The Green Knights (13-1-2, 9-0-1 NCHA), ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com and D3hockey.com Division III polls, saw themselves deadlocked 2-2 with the Falcons (6-11, 2-8) for most of the third period.

Mason Baptista snapped the tie with his sixth goal of the year, breaking the stalemate with 2:49 remaining in the third period. The Green Knights got an insurance goal just 28 seconds later when Pijus Rulevicius scored, also his sixth of the season.

The Falcons drew first blood, getting a power-play goal from Anthony Pickering 7:21 into the first period. St. Norbert promptly answered 21 seconds later with a goal by Michael Hill.

St. Norbert took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Hill just 18 seconds into the second period. It was Hill's 15th marker of the season, currently the second-most in Division III. The Falcons would not the score with 1:34 left in the second period on a goal by Chris Hughes.

Kyle Lee had the only other multi-point game for St. Norbert other than Hill's two goals, registering three assists.

St. Norbert outshot Concordia 37-31. David Jacobson made 29 saves for the Green Knights, who were 0-for-4 on the power play. The Falcons were 1-for-7 with the man advantage.
