St. Norbert Trims Concordia-Wisconsin

GLENDALE - St. Norbert College picked up its first dual win of the season with a 7-2 triumph over Concordia University Wisconsin in a non-conference match at Paley Tennis Center.

St. Norbert (1-2) opened with a pair of doubles wins. Travis Buechel and Nate Gosz earned an 8-3 win over Ben Nommensen and Ceejay Schaffner at No. 1, followed by an 8-2 victory for Leon Gilman and Casey Brice over Steven Fritz and Ryan Rogers at No. 2.

Buechel defeated Trevor Budewitz 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, while Gosz topped Nommensen 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

Brice claimed a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 win over Fritz at No. 4 singles. Robert Quinlan topped Jonathan Schotte 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5, and Ben Vande Zande clipped Rogers 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
