Green Knights Get Three Event Winners at Monmouth Open

MONMOUTH, Ill. - St. Norbert College produced three event champions as the Green Knights completed at the Monmouth College Open at Huff Center. The meet was unscored.
Brittany Kozlowski won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:14.63, a time which places her in the top six in Division III so far this season.
Samantha Morateck won the high jump with a height of 5 feet 4 1/4 inches. Nicole Vanderlin was second with the same height, but finished second on attempts.
Alyssa Price won the 5,000-meter run, turning in a time of 18:39.19.
The 4x200-meter relay of Liz LeCaptain, Angel Hon, Mara Aparnieks and Kozlowski was second with a time of 1:48.98.
The Green Knights had four of the top-eight finishers in the 3,000-meter run. Erin Artz was second in 10:31.62, Taylor Miller fifth in 10:43.41, Lisa Baeten seventh in 10:50.73 and Charlotte Walsh eighth in 10:54.02.
LeCaptain placed second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.97 seconds.
Artz was fourth in the 1-mile run at 5:09.09, and Baeten was seventh in 5:17.78.
Taylor Wenzel was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.77 seconds.
Hon placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.92 seconds. Ashley Berton was sixth in the high jump at 4-10 1/4, while Grace Mickelson was sixth in the pole vault with a height of 9-2 1/2.
Brianna Bittner was seventh in the long jump with a distance of 15-8 1/4, while Berton was eighth in the triple jump at 33-11 1/4.
