St. Norbert Drops NCHA Playoffs Semifinal Game to Lake Forest

ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College held a 3-2 lead in the third period but ended up succumbing 5-3 to Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Four semifinal game at Arrington Ice Arena.
The Green Knights (16-7-4) went ahead 3-2 on Kylie Gazzolo's goal 6:19 into the third period. Lake Forest (13-8-3) answered just 54 seconds later, getting the equalizer from Holly Lesperance at 7:13.
Lake Forest pulled ahead at the 13:19 mark on a goal by Leah Ebdon. Michelle Greeneway's empty-net goal with 14 seconds left sealed the outcome.
Lauren Roethlisberger put St. Norbert ahead 1-0 on a goal just 2:57 into the game and carried that lead all the way through the end of the first period. Lake Forest wasted little time tying the game on a power-play goal by Alex Stensland just 18 seconds into the second period.
St. Norbert answered with a Myranda Hayes marker at 10:15 of the second period, but Lake Forest's Melissa Paluch's power-play goal knotted the score at 2-2 at the 16:56 mark.
St. Norbert outshot the Foresters 33-28. Leigh Grall made 23 saves for the Green Knights, while Allie Carter made 30 saves for Lake Forest.
The Green Knights were 0-for-2 on the power play, while Lake Forest was 2-for-5.
