St. Norbert Drops Two to End Florida Trip

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - St. Norbert College ended its trip to Florida with a 10-2 loss to Cortland State and a 5-0 setback to Western Connecticut State University at the Rebel Games.

The Green Knights (4-6) trailed Cortland 3-2 after scoring two runs in the top of the sixth inning. Jessica DeMeuse had an RBI double and MacKenzie Hazen followed with an RBI single, but the Red Dragons scored seven runs on six hits and two errors in the bottom half of the inning to end the game.

DeMeuse and Tayler Long were both 2-for-3 for St. Norbert, which had six hits. Morgan Rusch took the loss, allowing 12 hits and nine runs in five-plus innings.

St. Norbert had just four hits in the nightcap. Francesca Marrese took the loss, allowing seven hits and two runs in five innings.
