St. Norbert Drops Pair in Whitewater

WHITEWATER - The St. Norbert College women's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference dual matches in Whitewater, falling 8-1 to UW-La Crosse and 9-0 to UW-Whitewater.

The Green Knights picked up their lone win of the La Crosse match at No. 1 doubles. Kelly Van Handel and Lauren Post teamed up to beat Carlie Borhman and Sarah Schoenwaelder 8-5.

In singles action, Callie Schroeder extended Megan Fallon to three sets at No. 4 before falling 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.

UW-Whitewater swept all six singles matches in straight sets, with Post having the best showing with a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Annie Smith at No. 2. Van Handel and Post lost to Kalla Schaefer and Amy Siemon 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.

St. Norbert finished its regular season 5-6.
