Green Knights Complete First Day at NCAA Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. - St. Norbert College completed its first day of competition at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship sitting in 36th place out of 41 teams.
St. Norbert registered a 317 entering Wednesday's second round. Methodist University is the first-round leader with a team score of 284. The top 15 teams plus the top six individual golfers not on a team making the cut advance to the third and fourth rounds starting Thursday.
Ben Bobinski led St. Norbert with a first-round score of 77, which included a front-nine score of 37. Ben Verbeten finished with a 78, shooting a 39 on each nine.
Isaiah Harmison totaled an 80, followed by Alex Okray's 82 and Ben Socha's 83. Okray had a team-high three birdies.
St. Norbert's second round is scheduled to begin at 11:50 a.m. CDT on Wednesday.
