DE PERE - St. Norbert College opened the 2015 season with a win, garnering a 3-0 non-conference triumph over Lakeland College at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights wasted little time taking command of the match, getting a goal just 1 minutes 7 seconds in. Sam Lamers deked Lakeland goalkeeper Logan Massey and finished to an open net to give St. Norbert a quick 1-0 lead. Marco Delbecchi assisted.

Lamers scored again at the 7:46 mark, when Patrick Hehir and Sean Sladky had a pair of perfect passes to set up Lamers, who finished with a clean header.

St. Norbert pushed ahead 3-0 when Kieran Ruane's strong strike from about 20 yards out cleanly finished at 37:43. Andy Frank assisted on the marker.

St. Norbert outshot Lakeland 21-10. Eddie Sanchez made six saves in his first collegiate game to post the shutout. Massey made one save in the first half for the Muskies, while Thomis Mannebach made six saves for Lakeland.
