Green Knights Win Twice to Extend Winning Streak to Seven

APPLETON - St. Norbert College claimed two wins in a pair of matches at Lawrence University to extend its winning streak to seven.

The Green Knights (7-2, 5-0 MWC) topped Lawrence 8-1 in a Midwest Conference match and then defeated UW-Oshkosh in a non-conference affair.

St. Norbert earned wins in two doubles matches against the Vikings. Elizabeth Manlick and Anna Gosz beat Lindsey Holsen and Elana Lambert 8-2 at No. 2, while Ashley Randazzo and Stephanie Doerfert topped Annie Harnicar and Katie Nottberg 8-3 at No. 3.

The Green Knights swept singles play. Manlick beat Katie Frankel 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 at No. 1, followed by a 6-3, 6-2 win for Erika Chitko over Lilly Endsley at No. 2. Katherine Ake beat Holsen 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and Katlyn Gahan topped Lambert 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4. Gosz defeated Harnicar 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 and Randazzo beat El Goblirsch 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Against Oshkosh, St. Norbert again won two doubles points. Manlick and Gosz beat Shauna Stoffregen and Sophie Pitz 8-1 at No. 2 and Gahan and Randazzo defeated Paige Kloth and Ashlee Polena 8-0 at No. 3.

St. Norbert lost only 14 total games in the six singles matches against the Titans. Manlick claimed another win at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Bailey Sagen. Chitko beat Pitz 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2, followed by a 6-0, 6-1 win for Ake over Stoffregen at No. 3. Gahan bested Hannah Nauth 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. Gosz topped Kloth 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5, followed by Randazzo's 6-1, 6-1 win over Polena at No. 6.
