WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College yielded a goal in the final minute of regulation time and lost a heartbreaker to nationally ranked UW-Whitewater by a 2-1 score in a non-conference game at Fiskum Field.

The Green Knights (4-3-1) had battled the No. 5-ranked Warhawks (8-0) even through 89 minutes before the host pulled ahead with 54 seconds remaining on a header goal by 6-foot-8 defender Justin Stanko off a corner kick.

St. Norbert erased a one-goal deficit early in the second half when Marco Delbecchi scored his third goal in the last two games at the 51:21 mark, with Robert Quinlan assisting.

Whitewater took a 1-0 lead into halftime on a Taylor Ortiz goal at 33:59, which also came off a Warhawks' corner kick.

Whitewater held a 20-6 advantage on shots and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks. Eddie Sanchez made seven saves for the Green Knights, while Alex Buchman made two stops for Whitewater.
