St. Norbert Sweeps Grinnell to Move to 2-0 in MWC

DE PERE - St. Norbert College recorded its second match sweep of the young Midwest Conference season with a 3-0 win over Grinnell College at Schuldes Sports Center. The Green Knights topped the Pioneers by set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-12.

St. Norbert (6-10, 2-0 MWC), which swept Cornell College on Friday to open conference play, hit .241 in the match. The Green Knights registered 44 kills against 18 errors in 108 attempts.

Halie Ferry led St. Norbert with 11 kills and 14 digs. Hannah Johnshoy also had a double-digit kill total with 10, posting only one error in 19 attempts. Erin Lang added seven kills for the St. Norbert offense.

Kaitlin Delahaut finished with 20 assists, while Lauren Lehman and Emily Kapalko had six assists apiece. Kapalko posted a match-high four service aces.

Aubree Antosch added 14 kills for St. Norbert, which totaled 54 digs defensively.

Grinnell (0-11, 0-2 MWC) hit just .044 (20-16-91), including minus-.222 in the third set. Ariel Lepito led the Pioneers with six kills. Margaret Giles had 17 assists, while Sydney Vrecenar added 11 digs.
