St. Norbert Closes Out MWC Play at 9-1

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College wrapped up Midwest Conference dual-meet play with a 9-0 win over Knox College.

The Green Knights (11-3, 9-1 MWC) finished tied atop the league standings but due to tiebreakers cannot win the conference championship.

Erika Chitko and Katherine Ake defeated Taytem Chapman and Miranda Corbett 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, followed by Elizabeth Manlick and Anna Gosz posting an 8-1 win over Savannah Sailors and Maddie Schacht. Katlyn Gahan and Ashley Randazzo defeated Maggie St. Clair and Emily Miller 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.

Manlick topped Chapman 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and Ake defeated Sailors 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Gahan beat Miller 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Gosz beat Schacht 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Randazzo topped Corbett 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles, while Catherine Schaupp topped Celina Dietzel 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
