Green Knights Run Unbeaten Streak to Five

DE PERE - St. Norbert College improved to 4-0-1 in its last five games with a sound 5-0 win over Cornell College in a Midwest Conference game at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (8-5-2, 5-1-1 MWC) scored twice in the game's first 11 minutes to take control. Marco Delbecchi scored his sixth goal of the season, with assists going to Patrick Hehir and Tyler Kassube, on a header finish at 6:36. Jon Gregory completed a tic-tac-toe passing combination from Delbecchi and Kassube at 10:22 for a 2-0 lead.

St. Norbert took a 3-0 lead into halftime when Andy Frank scored unassisted off a 10-yard shot at 42:56.

The Green Knights closed out the scoring when Gregory took a give-and-go feed from Sam Lamers and finished at 75:33. Alex Jessel then scored his first goal of the season, with assists going to Austin Mahlik and Joe Fabich, finishing a header at 82:05.

St. Norbert outshot the Rams 21-2 and had a 13-2 edge on corner kicks. Eddie Sanchez, Sam Lisheron and Tim Fox combined to play in goal for the Green Knights, with Fox making the only save. Jerome Richards made five saves for the Rams.
