DE PERE - Marco Delbecchi's goal in the fifth minute of overtime sent St. Norbert College to a 2-1 overtime win over Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference game at Schneider Stadium.

The win kept the Green Knights (9-5-2, 6-1-1) in a first-place tie atop the MWC standings with Knox College. Both sides have 19 points with two league games remaining.

Delbecchi's goal was set up on a passing combination by Kieran Ruane and Alex Schumacher. The ball was crossed out front to Delbecchi, who finished with his seventh goal of the season.

Grinnell (7-7, 5-3 MWC) drew first blood when it scored at 12:31. Nicholas Brule scored from out front when he cleaned up a rebound.

The goal would hold up all the way through the 68th minute. Tyler Kassube rifled a 30-yard shot past the reach of Grinnell goalkeeper Major May at 67:02. The marker was Kassube's seventh of the season.

St. Norbert outshot Grinnell 13-8, but the Pioneers held an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks. Eddie Sanchez made three saves for the Green Knights, while May made four for the Pioneers.
