St. Norbert Posts a Pair of MWC Singles Runner-Ups

MADISON - St. Norbert College collected two runner-up finishes in the six flights of the Midwest Conference Singles Championships at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
Erika Chitko made the finals in the No. 2 flight and Ashley Randazzo did the same at No. 5, but both succumbed in their championship matches.
Chitko claimed a 6-3, 7-6 win over Carroll University's Lauren Miketinac in the semifinals before dropping the championship match to Lake Forest College's Christi Valicenti 6-3, 6-3.
Randazzo outlasted Carroll's Alison Lambrecht 6-4, 7-6 in her semifinal match and then fell 6-4, 6-4 to Grinnell College's Anushka Joshi in the title match.
Elizabeth Manlick claimed the consolation championship at No. 1 singles by beating Carroll's Megan Krzewinski 8-1. Anna Gosz also won the consolation at No. 4 singles with an 8-0 win over Monmouth College's Callie Cook.
Katlyn Gahan fell in the semifinals at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 loss to Carroll's Julia Patzin. Catherine Schaupp lost in the semifinals of No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 6-0 decision to Carroll's Lauren Goebel.
