St. Norbert Rolls Past Lawrence

DE PERE - St. Norbert College led from start to finish in fashioning an 85-29 win over Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (8-4, 7-0 MWC) improved to 35-1 in their last 36 games against Midwest Conference opponents.

St. Norbert jumped out to an 8-0 lead on 3-pointers from Regan Carmichael and Brianna Byrne and a Stephanie Weigman jumper. The Vikings cut the deficit to 10-9 before St. Norbert closed out the first quarter with a 15-11 lead.

The Green Knights opened the second quarter on a 13-0 run to take control. St. Norbert got 3-pointers from Jill Kleiman, Weigman and Rachel Hagge during the run to take a 28-11 lead with 6:41 left in the quarter. St. Norbert led 42-17 at halftime.

St. Norbert opened the third quarter on a 19-0 run for a 61-17 lead with 4:02 left in the period and closed out the game from there.

The Green Knights shot 47.5 percent (28-for-59) from the floor. Five players reached double figures in scoring, led by Kleiman's 13 points. Byrne had 12 points while Carmichael and Weigman both had 11 points. Hagge added 10 points off the bench.

Lawrence shot 22.0 percent (11-for-50) from the floor. Natalie Kramer led the Vikings with seven points, while Patsy Kealey added six points and 12 rebounds.
