Green Knights Finish Third at UW-Oshkosh Challenge

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College finished in third place in the team standings of the UW-Oshkosh Challenge held at Kolf Sports Center.

The Green Knights totaled 108 1/2 points. Host Oshkosh won the team title with 151 points, while UW-Whitewater was second with 129 1/2 points.

Erin Artz paced the Green Knights by resetting her own school record with a time of 9:54.63, currently fifth-best this season in Division III. Five of her teammates finished fourth through eighth in the event. Charlotte Walsh (10:52.39), Tori Nelsen (10:55.07), Alyssa Price (10:57.53), Sarah Parbs (11:01.43) and Alyssa Wegner (11:03.62) finished fourth through eight, respectively.

Taylor Domro captured the title in the 1-mile run, finishing with a time of 5:18.40. Lisa Baeten was second with a time of 5:31.44.

Liz LeCaptain won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.82 seconds. Angel Hon placed seventh in the event in 8.16 seconds. The pair took third and fourth in the 200-meter dash, with LeCaptain timing 26.53 seconds and Hon 26.59 seconds.

Samantha Morateck finished in first place in the high jump by clearing a height of 5 feet 4 1/2 inches. Nicole Vanderlin was fourth at 5-2 1/2.

The Green Knights' 4x400-meter relay of Haley Joosten, Peyton McCauley, Brittany Kozlowski and Sarah Duff finished with a time of 4:06.18 to win by over nine seconds.

Kristina Herman finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 40-8 1/4. Emmy Larson placed sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 33-11 1/4.

Haidyn Mueller was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.63 seconds and Teagan Wernicke was sixth in 9.76 seconds. Wernicke added an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 15-8 3/4.
