Green Knights Tie For Second-Straight Day at Marian

FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College skated to a 1-1 tie with Marian University for the second consecutive day in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Blue Line Family Ice Center.

The Green Knights (14-8-3, 9-6-3 NCHA) will face Lake Forest College next Friday and Saturday in the semifinals of the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs in Lake Forest, Ill. St. Norbert is the No. 3 seeding, while Lake Forest is the No. 2 seeding.

St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead at the 13:43 mark of the second period when Reaghan Chadwick scored off assists from Kelli Sorge and Lauren Roethlisberger. The assist was Roethlisberger's 90th career point, tying her with Zoe Kurth (2011-14) atop the St. Norbert leaderboard in career scoring.

Marian countered with a goal by Emily Everson at 11:08 of the third period.

St. Norbert outshot Marian 32-23, including 25-13 in the first two periods. The Green Knights were 0-for-2 on the power play and the Sabres were 0-for-5.

Leigh Grall made 22 saves for St. Norbert while Ali Glazer made 31 stops for Marian.
