LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College and Lake Forest College skated to a 0-0 tie in the second game of a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Playoffs semifinal series at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse, but that was enough to send the Green Knights to the championship game.

St. Norbert (16-8-3), who won the first game of the series Friday by a 3-1 score, advances to NCHA Slaats Cup Championship Game by virtue of earning three points against the Foresters (20-5-2), who are ranked No. 5 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll. St. Norbert will learn its championship game opponent Sunday when the Adrian College-College of St. Scholastica semifinal series concludes.

Neither team committed a penalty in the first period, while the Foresters had two power plays in the second period and St. Norbert had one.

Lake Forest had a good scoring chance in the final minute of regulation time, getting a 6-on-4 opportunity with the goaltender pulled while on the power play. The Foresters couldn't score, and then had another 54 seconds of extra-attacker time at the start of overtime. Lake Forest also had the goaltender pulled for the last 1:02 of overtime but couldn't get a goal to extend the series to a mini-game.

St. Norbert outshot Lake Forest 16-15. Leigh Grall made 15 saves for the Green Knights while Allie Carter made 16 stops for Lake Forest.

Lake Forest was 0-for-3 on the power play while St. Norbert was 0-for-2.
