Boockmeier Qualifies in Heptathlon at NCAA Indoor Championship

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior Brad Boockmeier has qualified for the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend in Grinnell, Iowa.

Boockmeier is the No. 14 seeding out of 15 competitors in the heptathlon with 4,701 points. He is the first St. Norbert athlete to qualify for the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championship.

Action in the heptathlon starts at 10 a.m. Friday with the 60-meter dash. The long jump follows at about 10:40 a.m. The shot put starts at about 12:30 p.m. and the high jump at about 2 p.m.

Saturday's events start at 10 a.m. with the 60-meter hurdles. The pole vault will begin about 11 a.m. and the 1,000-meter run at about 1:30 p.m.
