St. Norbert Tips Nationally Ranked St. Thomas

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat University of St. Thomas 2-1.

The Green Knights (3-4) scored on a Hunter Larson two-run single with the infield drawn in with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. Robbie Dombrowski singled to open the inning and Griffin Jack was hit by a pitch. The pair then moved up to second and third on a wild pitch. Following a strikeout, Larson's hit went over the shortstop's head to plate both runs.

The Tommies, ranked No. 20 in the D3baseball.com Top 25, were set down in order in the top of the seventh inning.

Jake McMahon twirled a two-hitter, allowing an unearned run in the first inning. McMahon walked four and struck out six.

Tyler Banovich had two of St. Norbert's five hits.

The second game of the scheduled doubleheader with the Tommies was rained out.
