St. Norbert Drops Pair of Matches

WINONA, Minn. - St. Norbert College lost a pair of non-conference matches to Winona State University 6-3 and UW-La Crosse 9-0 at Winona Tennis Center.

The Green Knights (14-7) earned one doubles point against the Division II Warriors. Claire Hetzel and Maggie Krummel beat Melissa Boehmke and Keara Thiele 8-3 at the No. 3 flight.

Erika Chitko claimed a 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 win over Justin Daane at No. 1 singles. Krummel earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over Lauren Willkom at No. 6 singles.

Katlyn Gahan and Stephanie Doerfert lost three-set singles matches at No. 3 and 4 flights, respectively.

Hetzel and Krummel had the Green Knights' most competitive match against La Crosse, falling 8-5 to Bryanne Blanton and Alaina Bublitz at No. 3 doubles.
