St. Norbert Comes Up Short in Pair of MWC Matches

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College lost a pair of Midwest Conference dual matches with a 9-0 loss to Lake Forest College and a 5-4 setback to Carroll University.

The Green Knights (5-7, 2-4 MWC) were swept in straight sets against the Foresters before heading back north to face Carroll.

St. Norbert took one doubles point in doubles play when Kyle Battle and Zach Simonet beat Joshua Ramos and Ian Foster 8-2 at No. 2.

The Green Knights won three singles points, starting at No. 3 when Battle topped Ramos 6-2, 6-2. Simonet then defeated Foster 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 at No. 4. Joe Oleniczak then defeated Andrew Nemcek 7-5, 6-2 at No. 5.
