Green Knights Win St. Norbert Invitational

DE PERE - St. Norbert College won its own track and field invitational for the first time since 2013 by placing atop 10 teams competing at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights registered 145 points to outdistance runner-up UW-River Falls' 98 points. Milwaukee School of Engineering was third with 97 points.

St. Norbert swept the top three places in the 400-meter dash. Jon Gregory (49.30 seconds), Tyler Lewis (49.62) and Austin Livingston (49.76) took the top three spots in the event, respectively.

Colin O'Brien won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.92 seconds. The St. Norbert 4x400-meter relay team won with a time of 3:20.36.

Gregory and Ryan Grandlic finished second and third, respectively, in the 200-meter dash. Gregory posted a time of 22.32 seconds and Grandlic finished in 22.33 seconds. Grandlic was also second in the javelin throw with a distance of 151 feet 10 inches and was third in the high jump with a height of 5-9 1/4.

Tristin Marx and Frank Scandin were second and third, respectively, in the pole vault. Marx and Scandin both cleared a height of 13-3 1/2.

Sasha Maro was third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 33:46.76. Lake LaChapelle was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.98.
